Plink plink plink
Today was a tough day. I started off feeling ready to take on the day, which i suppose was my first mistake — my hubris angered the gods and they decided to make an example of me in the form of a deluge of extra work all to be done in the same amount of time.
I was fine until i saw the time. Then it dawned on me that it would be yet another 10-12 hour day. A deep deep sigh of resignation.
A couple of hours later i took my dog into the yard and was greeted with the most gorgeous skies full of grey clouds and a huge blue sky peering out from behind during the middle of a sunset. The rain was falling steadily but gently, big water droplets hitting the roses in the garden, the smell of soil filled the air. Then i turned my head and saw there was a rainbow in front of the grey clouds just barely behind my house. Maybe my hubris wasnt being punished after all, maybe the gods were trying to give me a little boost instead. A deep deep sigh of peace.
